Show Notes

People read to get certainty. They want to feel as though the author knows what they are talking about. If you are using a lot of uncertain words, such as auxiliaries (may, might, can, etc.) you are coming off as uncertain and missing out on the opportunity to be persuasive. You need to use uncertain words only when you actually are uncertain. Otherwise, these words make you weak and they hinder your writing.
